Saturday, April 19th, 2008Updated this weblog yesterday with the latest version: WordPress 2.5. The script is getting better all the time, but updating remains stressful. But everything went OK. I installed a state-of-the-art gallery plugin: NEXTGEN gallery and tested it. It’s nice but unfortunately still buggy and unstable. I’m looking for a script to make a professional looking image paysite with CMS for someone. I like WordPress, but until this plugin is tested out I can’t use it.
I did some research on the subject. CMS scripts for the “adult industry” are frightfully expensive. I looked into the most popular open source CMS: Drupal and Joomla. Drupal seems very good but is mainly used for big corporate and community sites and needs way too much customising. Joomla seems too dependent on not so reliable plugins. So I probably stick to the old but faithful Coppermine spiced up with the Jeroen Wijering flash slideshow and see if I can make something really cool.
