Tryout of my new gallery with the new shoot with Sietske. I’m leaving the Coppermine platform because mine is a total loss. But it’s a good time for a change. Wordpress and Nextgen are more reliable and uptodate packages. The slideshow is super, especially with these great pix. So I’m going to sort out my old pix and move them to my new gallery and restyle my site.

Since my host moved my site to a new server with php5 I have been struggling to get my scripts right. Wordpress had an issue with a plugin that fucked up the page and the permalinks with search engine friendly url’s that had to be set again with a new .htaccess file. The mail form I had been using for a long time, HIQ Formmail, which was nice because it could upload files, didn’t send mails anymore. The author, Richard, somewhere from the midwest USA, with whom I had some friendly contact before on previous issues, closed up his site and can’t be reached. And last my Coppermine gallery at first seemed fine but can’t upload pictures anymore which makes it useless. Wordpress is fixed, I got rid of the mailform because I didn’t really need it, but I’m still struggling with Coppermine and contacted the development team. It looks a bit shitty now with the debug messages displayed. I’m no php expert and the experts also seem to have problems finding out were the problem lies and how to fix it.

Had a nice shoot with Elian and did some webdesigning: a business site for Monique Sluyter Models and a total restyling of the Webers Holland site. To finish it of I updated my wordpress and restyled this page. White seems to be my new fetish…I also ordered a new & bigger Hilite background from the UK. 2 Hilites must lead to spectacular lighting possibilities. At least it will be fun trying. It’s a bit unchartered territory because these light modifiers are new and they are bigger than the biggest softbox or lightbank. Can’t wait…
