Update php scripts

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Since my host moved my site to a new server with php5 I have been struggling to get my scripts right. Wordpress had an issue with a plugin that fucked up the page and the permalinks with search engine friendly url’s that had to be set again with a new .htaccess file. The mail form I had been using for a long time, HIQ Formmail, which was nice because it could upload files, didn’t send mails anymore. The author, Richard, somewhere from the midwest USA, with whom I had some friendly contact before on previous issues, closed up his site and can’t be reached. And last my Coppermine gallery at first seemed fine but can’t upload pictures anymore which makes it useless. Wordpress is fixed, I got rid of the mailform because I didn’t really need it, but I’m still struggling with Coppermine and contacted the development team. It looks a bit shitty now with the debug messages displayed. I’m no php expert and the experts also seem to have problems finding out were the problem lies and how to fix it.

Motherfuckers moved my site to a new server without warning. Mail form didn’t work and everyone on my mailing list received automatic mails from this stupid mailman script. Got it fixed now. In the meantime I did a group shoot with Rosi, Monique and Alicja and the first shoot with Sabine. Tony is a very happy boy with all these wonderful models…

Hostile Takeover Redlight District

‘Het Parool’ published an article by Tony last thursday against the ongoing attempts to gentrify our beloved redlight district. If our local counciler Lodewijk Asscher has his way the sex workers have to make place for yet another mainstream area with shops and galleries. There is really a hostile takeover taking place where this crusading counciler is using dirty tricks and misusing public funds. In his slipstream the vultures of big business are preparing to invade. ‘Het Parool’ was so friendly to publish the article with a nice headline and photo. It’s yet another phase in the struggle; we do what we can…
